As part of the city of Portland's ongoing efforts to manage residential stormwater runoff, the Bureau of Environmental Services has started a "Treebate" program, which allows homeowners to purchase and plant a tree on their property, and then receive a credit on their water/sewer utility bill of up to $50. What a wonderful way to reduce your footprint and increase the natural beauty of the city.
